KEITH URBAN’S ‘RIPCORD WORLD TOUR 2016’ TO DEBUT IN CANADA WITH PERFORMANCE-FIRSTS IN KELOWNA AND PRINCE GEORGE, AND THE FIRST ANNOUNCED SHOW AT THE ALL-NEW ROGERS PLACE IN EDMONTON
Keith Urban has long been hailed as one of the industry’s best live performers who has always given his fans, old and new alike, electrifying concerts with eye-popping production and a set list that is saturated with many of his 20 #1 songs. Electrifying and emotional, fast-paced and unpredictable, Urban’s shows are an explosive experience, a roller coaster ride that numerous critics have called “concert events not to be missed.”
‘ripCORD World Tour 2016’ with Dallas Smith and special guest Maren Morris, will debut on September 10 in Vancouver, BC, kicking off the arena leg of the world tour. The Canadian dates will be highlighted by first-time performances in Kelowna and Prince George and the opening of the all-new Rogers Place in Edmonton, where Urban is the first announced artist to be playing the most modern, state-of-the-art building in Canada. In addition, the Grammy Award-winner will return to Vancouver, Calgary and Saskatoon, the latter of which Urban hasn’t played since 2011. Previously announced stops include Toronto on July 8 and 9 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.*

On May 6, Urban will release his eighth studio album RIPCORD, via Hit Red Records / Capitol Records Nashville / Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The groundbreaking new album that has already produced Urban’s 19th (“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16”) and 20th (“Break On Me”) No. 1 songs, as well as his new single “Wasted Time.” From Pitbull and Nile Rodgers to Carrie Underwood and Dann Huff to Jeff Bhasker, Greg Wells and busbee, Urban’s nearly 18-month journey creating RIPCORD has included some of the most influential and celebrated musicians of our time.
The ‘ripCORD World Tour 2016’ will now visit three countries – Canada, the United States and Australia.
