Shania’s Return?

shaniaTCShania Twain recently did an interview with the Calgary Herald ahead of two performances, tonight and tomorrow at the Calgary Stampede. Shania spoke about finally getting back on the road for a tour and the possibility of a new album. After her commitment to Caesars runs out in July, Shania said she’ll be thinking about a tour. “I guess it’s something I’m enjoying more now than I have in a long time. Vegas has been a really good transition for me to get back onstage again, and I guess I’m enjoying it. So why not do more?”

She also spoke about recording a new album (the last Shania album was 2002’s Up!) saying; “It’s my priority this year and i will be in the studio as soon as I can get in, get my ducks in a row – I’m working on it all the time right now. I’ve been writing for it for a long time now, I’ve got lots of things so it’s really about putting the puzzle together now.”

Shania also mentioned she realizes the music industry has changed since her last album. She admits to being a fan of the current stars of country music but says, “It just feels all very natural to be honest. I haven’t really considered whether I fit in or not. Right now, it’s not a concern, I’m just doing my thing.”

Here’s hoping Shania will keep doing her thing and puts out some new music soon.

Do you think Shania will be able to fit in with the current artists in country music? Let me know below!
