Lauren Alaina’s Twitter feed was all abuzz yesterday after she tweeted a message to her cheating (now ex) boyfriend and waged a war of words with him and his new girlfriend. The tweets prompted some of her fans to comment that she was setting a bad example while others gave her the “you go girl” and compared her to Miranda Lambert.

Which led me to wonder why she didn’t dump his sorry butt sooner!! Then the “other woman” apparently deleted all of her tweets about Lauren:

Lauren then proceeded to have a “Twitter party” with her fans, getting hundreds of tweets of support and “Alainers have Lauren’s Back” ended up trending at #1 world wide! But some of her fans thought she was out of hand and told her so. After some thought Lauren ended up sending several apology tweets this morning..
“I want to personally apologize for the way I handled the immature situation last night. I don’t usually let people get to me, but now I know That getting your heart broken makes you react in strange ways,” she wrote.
“I want to apologize to all of the parents on my twitter whose children I’m Setting an example for. It won’t happen again. I am truly sorry if I disappointed anyone. I’m embarrassed to have let it get so out of hand.
“It wasn’t worth it and it shouldn’t have ever happened. I also want to apologize to The people I was arguing with. U said some pretty awful Stuff about me, but I only made it worse by responding. I can promise you that next time I’ll ignore you.
“As an ending note, I hope everyone Knows [that] was out of character for me and I won’t do it again. Thank u for all of the support [you’ve] shown me over the last year. Love y’all.”
Lauren’s faithful fans must have even gone after the cheating ex as she also tweeted:

Ha! I’m thinking whatever backlash he got, he deserved. And personally I DON’T think she did anything any other 17 year old girl wouldn’t do.. just because she was on Idol doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings. And really, I don’t think she said anything all that awful. But it was gracious of her to apologize. Do you think she was over the line? Are you tired of celebrity rants on Twitter? Lemme know!
