The new year is upon us and people are still getting into celebration mode. From holiday parties, to New Year’s Eve bashes and now celebrations of the new year, everyone seems to be gathering together with friends and family to eat, drink and be merry.
Whether you’re hosting or attending, a new year’s party should be fun and memorable. Nothing is better than hearing your guests talk about your party for years to come. One of the ways to ensure that this happens is by making a delicious spread of food and having a large selection of drinks on hand. If you’re not up for cooking and baking all day by yourself, have your guests each bring something and turn it into a potluck. This way, everyone contributes to the cost and preparation of the evening. You can also have everyone BYOB, so that each person can drink exactly what they want. If you’re hosting have a bunch of different types of mix on hand.
Another way to ensure your guests have a great time is by having lots of games and activities on hand. Many people like to visit and mingle with old friends and new, but sometimes the conversation comes to lull and games are a really great way to get the conversation flowing again. It’s also a great way to get people who have never met before to interact with one another. Makes teams by pairing people who have never met. This forces everyone to socialize without feeling awkward or letting everything fall on the conversation alone.
The final way to make sure your guests are enjoying themselves is to create an awesome music playlist. Music seems like a small component of a party, but it really makes all the difference. It fill silences, starts conversations and allows people to dance if they so choose. Playing uplifting and catchy songs will make your guests feel happy and energetic.
Making a playlist can take a lot of time out of your day. You have to go through your entire song library and choose the songs that you feel will be best for the party, and that will appeal to each of your guests. Then you have to actually make the playlist, which is the most time-consuming part.
In order to take some of the holiday stress off of your shoulders, we’ve created a playlist for you and your fellow country music loving guests. Featuring 91 awesome country songs, this playlist will have your guests moving to, or creating, a dance floor in no time.
Featuring tunes by Lady Antebellum, Meghan Patrick, Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood and Tim Hicks. Start the playlist and let it work its magic before the music stops. The playlist will be good for a few hours of fun, but if the party goes late into the night, you’ll be excited to start it all over again once it reaches the final song.
