Top Quirky Country Music Song Titles

According to the internet, Mar 27th is Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day. Yup, it’s a thing and we’ve decided to embrace it. There are some truly quirky song titles out there, especially in country music. Our mission was to find more recent country songs with quirky names, instead of referring to the obvious classics like “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” (Deana Carter) and “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” (Big & Rich). Here are some current country songs keeping the tradition alive.

Top Quirky Country Music Song Titles

1. Meghan Patrick – “Bow Chicka Wow Wow”

Meghan Patrick’s career changed overnight with “Bow Chicka Wow Wow”. The reigning CCMA Female Artist of the Year proved standing out from the crowd pays off.

2. Reba – “Cactus In A Coffee Can”

“Cactus In A Coffee Can” is a song title off Reba’s upcoming album “Stronger Than The Truth”. Despite the quirky title, the song is an emotional story of a woman who re-connects with her drug-addicted mother.

3. Dean Brody – “Whiskey In A Teacup”

Dean explains, “She’s whiskey in a teacup is an expression I’ve come across over and over this past year. Meaning – there’s more to her than meets the eye. I loved it and wondered why it hadn’t been written as a song.” We’re sure glad he did!

4. The Cadillac Three – “Long Hair Don’t Care”

Long Hair Don’t Care might be a popular Instagram hashtag but as a song title, it’s certainly unexpected.

5. The Reklaws ft. James Barker Band- “Wish You Were Beer”

This title seems to be a favourite amongst country artists. In addition to The Reklaws, the title has been used by Dustin Lynch and upcoming country trio, Leaving Austin. Needless to say, it’s a pretty great country song title.

6. Toby Keith – “Shitty Golfer”

Leave it to Toby Keith to write and release a song called “Shitty Golfer”. We’re pretty sure no one else could get away with this.

7. Dallas Smith – “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drink Alone”

Amen to that.

8. Miranda Lambert – “Gravity Is A B**ch”

We can always count on Miranda Lambert.

9. Mitchell Tenpenny – Alcohol You Later

The latest from Mitchell Tenpenny is a quirky as it gets.

10. Sam Hunt – “Body Like A Back Road”

With the popularity of “Body Like A Back Road”, the title seems too mainstream to be quirky. However, when you really think about it “Body Like A Back Road” is certainly a contender for this list.
