10 Artists You Need To See at Tin Pan South

The legendary Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival is one of the biggest highlights for musicians and music fans in Nashville every year. Now in it’s 26th running, people travel from across the globe to see dozens of performances from some of the worlds most talented songwriters. At Tin Pan South, you can experience the songs and stories about your favourite hits straight from the incredibly talented songwriters that created them. With over 250 songwriters performing, it can be overwhelming choosing who to go watch so we’ve put together a list of the 10 artists you need to see at Tin Pan South, running from April 3-7.

 

Carly Pearce

No doubt one of the marquee names of Tin Pan South, Carly Pearce’s 2017 hit “Every Little Thing” skyrocketed to number 1 at radio in both Canada and the US, changing her life in the process. She will also be performing at CMA Fest this summer. Definitely check out this star in the making.

 

Post Monroe

Post Monroe consists of Whitney Duncan and Ashlee Hewitt. A part of CMT’s “Next Women of Country”, they have performed multiple times on the Grand Ole Opry. Keep an ear out for this duo as they are set to have a big summer.

 

Tenille Arts

Tenille Arts continues to make waves and turn heads in 2018 after landing her record deal with Reviver Music and performing on ABC’s The Bachelor. She has just been nominated for five Saskatchewan Country Music Awards and we recently featured her as one of our Top Country Artists On The Rise. If you’re at Tin Pan South, seeing Tenille Arts is must.

 

Lindsay Ell

The mega-talented singer and guitarist is continuing her strong 2017 with many performances in 2018. Tin Pan South is on that list. She is currently opening for Brad Paisley on his Weekend Warrior tour and will be accompanying Sugarland on their Still The Same tour later this summer.

 

Levi Hummon

Another one of our Top Country Artists On The Rise, Levi Hummon is performing at the legendary Bluebird Cafe for Tin Pan South. What a venue to see a surging act like Levi. His father, Marcus Hummon will also have a performance at Tin Pan South.

 

Deric Ruttan

Deric Ruttan hails from Bracebridge, Ontario and has been a major songwriter in country music for over 15 years. Having penned songs for prominent artists such as Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Aaron Pritchett, Eric Church and Blake Shelton, the Grammy-nominated Canadian is a talent you won’t want to miss at Tin Pan South.

 

Tebey

Tebey has been a mainstay in Canadian country music for the better part of a decade. Not only has he written multiple songs that have charted in country music, he has written and produced hits across other genres like pop. Tebey is a talent that you should definitely see live and Tin Pan South is the place to do it.

 

Waterloo Revival

This duo out of Austin, Texas is signed to Big Machine Records. Consisting of Cody Cooper and George Birge, the pair is on the rise in Nashville and set to perform at multiple festivals this year including Tin Pan South and CMA Fest on the Breakout Stage.

 

Jaida Dreyer

Another Canadian talent with imprints all over country music and with frequent appearances on The Grand Ole Opry, Jaida Dreyer will be performing at Tin Pan South. She has written songs that have been performed by the likes of Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill as well as nine songs that have been featured on the hit TV show, Nashville.

 

Rhett Akins

Seeing Rhett Akins at Tin Pan South is something you won’t want to miss. His singing career was very successful having accounted for fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, including the number one “Don’t Get Me Started” in 1996. Rhett Akins has found more recent success writing hits for other major artists including his son, Thomas Rhett.
