It’s been a busy year for Calgary native Lindsay Ell! After releasing her debut EP in March, Lindsay followed that up with the release of her first full length album in August. The album entitled “The Project” catapulted to #1 on the iTunes Country albums chart and #2 on the iTunes All Genres albums chart. It also earned her the #1 spot on the Nielsen Soundscan Current Country Albums Chart in the US.
Her hit single “Waiting On You”, a blues soaked country original that really showcases her immense talent, skyrocketed to #4 on the Canadian Country Radio charts. Talk about a successful year!
In May, she embarked on a tour with country mega-star Brad Paisley and that tour has recently been extended, much to the delight of Lindsay.
When she’s not performing or recording, she’s giving back to the community. Lindsay has partnered with a non-profit charity called Notes for Notes to open a community recording studio for kids in Nashville. It will be a free for use space for young musicians to record and create.
Earlier this month at the CMA Awards, Lindsay looked stunning in a flashy red dress which got her placed on a number of “Best Dressed” lists.
