The summer gives us plenty of things to look forward to including warm weather, great concerts, and new music! This year has already brought country music fans a lot of great new music and it looks like we’re due up for even more in the coming months.
It gets difficult to keep up with all of the new releases but Top Country has you covered! From sophomore releases to long-awaited returns, get ready for all of the music that you’ll be adding to your playlists with this list of albums we’re looking forward to this summer.
Tim Hicks – New Tattoo
If you’ve been watching the NHL Playoffs, you’ve definitely heard Tim Hicks’ newest single “Loud” which has been officially licensed by the league for their broadcasts. His fourth studio album, New Tattoo, will be released on June 22nd and Tim wants his fans to hear how much fun he had while making this album. A duet with Lindsay Ell, one of the hottest chart-topping Canadian country singers, is one track we can’t wait to hear.
Luke Combs – This One’s For You Too (Deluxe Edition)
Luke Combs is one of the hottest names in country music right now and to celebrate the one year anniversary of his #1 debut album, the North Carolina native will be releasing This One’s For You Too (Deluxe Edition) on June 1st. This deluxe edition will feature five new songs added to the 12 originals for a total of 17 tracks. You can see Luke this summer on Jason Aldean’s High Noon Neon Tour.
Michael Ray – Amos
Following the success of his debut album, Michael Ray will be releasing his sophomore project entitled Amos on June 1st. The title is in honour of his grandfather and will be as Ray says, “the best introduction for fans to his music”. His major label debut under Warner Music Nashville was his hit single “Kiss You In The Morning” which reached #1 on Country Airplay in the United States. Fans can catch Michael opening for Dean Brody at Budweiser Stage this summer!
George Canyon – Southside Of Heaven
The Canadian country music legend has a career spanning nearly two decades and he isn’t slowing down anytime soon. His most recent album I Got This debuted as the #1 Canadian Country album at the time of its release in 2016 and held the top spot for 5 weeks. His newest album will be available on May 25th but in the meantime you can enjoy the single “More You”.
Sugarland – Bigger
The duo’s first release since Incredible Machine in 2010, Bigger is set to release on June 8th. It’s their sixth studio album and also their first release since the tragedy at the Indiana State Fair in 2011 when the stage collapsed before their performance. Bigger is sure to be a great edition to Sugarland’s already incredible catalogue. Their latest single “Babe” featuring Taylor Swift is already turning heads in country music.
Dierks Bentley – The Mountain
The creative process behind The Mountain, Dierks Bentley’s ninth studio album, had the most inspiring creative process of any of his previous works according to the country music superstar. Written and recorded in the mountainous Telluride, Colorado, Dierks Bentley is credited with co-writing 10 of the 13 tracks including the lead single “Woman, Amen”. The Mountain will be available on June 8th.
