Quebec’s Alexandre Despatie began diving at five years old in his backyard pool and since then he’s been unstoppable.

He was the world champion at the 1m and 3m springboards from 2005 to 2007 and is also the first to have been a world champion in three categories (1m, 3 m and 10m platform). He’s a 37-time Canadian senior diving champion and a 9-time junior champion plus he has won two Olympic silver medals (2004, Athens and 2008, Beijing).

In addition, he’s dabbled in acting, playing a small role in the 2007 film, À vos marques! Party!  And he also did some broadcasting as a host for French language Olympic coverage for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
