According to JoJo Mason, “Better On You” “is a different look into who I am…I’m a big time romantic, hopeless at times but always have been and really wanted to share that side of me with fans.” We’re sure glad he did.
The song, co-written by Meghan Patrick’s boyfriend and country star Mitchell Tenpenny, just entered the top 10 at country radio this week (Mediabase).
We’re a sucker for a song with a good play on words. That last line of the chorus is just genius…”You look good…girl in anything, but nothing looks better on you”…pure genius.
With a laidback groove, JoJo Mason is really able to show off his pipes. And when the chorus repeats for the third time, “Lord, have mercy” indeed!
So let the song get you feeling all romantic, grab your s/o and sing along.
