Reviewed: Autumn Hill’s “Favourite Mistake”

Review By: Shenieka Russell-Metcalf

Artist: Autumn Hill

Album: Favourite Mistake

Label: Wax Records

Rating: 4/5

The Canadian duo Autumn Hill have been burning up the charts since they released their first single “Anything at All”.  On September 10th, their debut album Favourite Mistake came out, this jam packed nine track album is worth every dollar.

Favourite Mistake is my top choice on this album, this song was co-written by the duo and it showcases their strong vocal talent and songwriting abilities. It also shows their emotional, vulnerable side through the lyrical content and it evokes strong emotions of love and heartbreak.

Canadian airwaves have also been graced with their single ‘Can’t Keep Waiting’ and their most recent sizzling song ‘Fire’, both instant hits on country radio.

They duo was recently nominated for the Rising Star award at the CCMA’s and performed at the show. Who knows what is in store for Tareya and Mike but if this album is any indication, they will have great success as they’ve delivered a solid album filled with compelling lyrics and melodies.
