Wearing a Bob Marley t-shirt, jeans and his usual ball cap Darius Rucker played to a sold out crowd at Casino Rama in Orillia, Ont. on Friday night.

The former Hootie & The Blowfish frontman started the show off with “Heartbreak Road” from his latest album, he also played “Radio” and his current radio single “True Believers”.

Rucker made sure to mix it up with songs from his first country album “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”, “Alright” and “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” that he dedicated to the parents in the audience. He also brought us to Charleston, SC 1966 with “This”, “Come Back Song” and “The Craziest Thing”.

Darius made sure to also appeal to the Hootie fans in the audience by playing a few songs including my personal favourite, “Let Her Cry” and then he played some traditional country by covering Hank Williams Jr.’s ““Family Tradition”.

He came out for an encore and played his huge hit “Wagon Wheel” that was a sure crowd pleaser. The whole audience was up on their feet singing, clapping and dancing along to the number one hit.

Rucker will be heading out on the True Believers tour with The Eli Young Band and David Nail in January 2014. Check out concert dates here: http://www.dariusrucker.com/shows.html?pg=1 Although, there are no Canadian dates, he will be playing at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, AB in August.
