Top Moments from Calgary Stampede 2018

Billed as the “Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth”, the Calgary Stampede attracts over one million visitors a year and is one of the world’s biggest rodeos. The 10-day festival held in July also attracts the top names in country music for countless performances.

It is a marquee event in Canada that showcases so much of what our great nation is about. Attendance is always high and people travel from all over the world to experience the festivities.

Tim Hicks Opens For Luke Bryan

On Day 9 of the Stampede, Niagara Falls native Tim Hicks played an opening set for country megastar Luke Bryan at the legendary Saddledome. Tim Hicks recently announced  his national “Get Loud Tour” which will begin in November. 


 

River Town Saints’ Performance At Nashville North

Headlining at Nashville North on the second last day of the Stampede, River Town Saints played an electric set that showed why they’re one of the most fun bands in country music!

 

Second Highest Attendance Of All Time

The 2018 edition of the Calgary Stampede hosted 1,271,241 visitors this year, which is second to only the centennial edition in 2012. 

 

Lindsay Ell and Brad Paisley At The Saddledome

Brad Paisley was one of the headline acts during the Calgary Stampede and on the final Friday he performed at the Saddledome. Two Canadians, Brett Kissel and Tebey opened for Paisley but the highlight of the night was when Calgary native Lindsay Ell performed with him on “Whiskey Lullaby” in front of her hometown crowd!

 

Leaving Thomas Plays For Their Hometown Crowd

The duo from Calgary closed out the Nashville North Concert Series on the final night with an amazing set in front of their hometown fans!
