‘I’m From the Country’ singer Tracy Byrd and his wife are recovering at home after a two-car collision totaled their Ford Excursion on Tuesday (July 17).
According to Corpus Christi, Texas TV station KIII, the incident which also involved a 64-year-old woman in a Toyota, took place on Highway 69 roughly 15 miles north of Beaumont, Texas in the early afternoon.
Department of Public Safety Trooper Stephanie Davis said Byrd and his wife were in a Ford Excursion on Highway 69 driving northbound when a woman driving a Toyota southbound turned left onto 327 and crossed into the path of the Excursion. The driver of the Toyota was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
All three people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital but no serious injuries have been reported.
