If you had any question if Kira Isabella was the real deal or not, your questions can be answered by taking a listen to her debut album, Love Me Like That. The 2012 CCMA Rising Star Award winner delivers 11 new songs, including three acoustic tracks. Young, vibrant and full of talent, 19-year-old Kira displays the perfect blend of maturity and youth throughout the album. Kira also had a hand in writing nearly the whole album – impressive.
‘Little White Church’ is pure and innocent in both the melody and vocal performance, as Kira tells the story of a girl who longs for the boy of her dreams to meet her at a little white church. A real treat to the ears. ‘Dangerously Obvious’ has an infectious melody and I’ve had it in my head for days now. Great lyrics and vocal performance from Kira on this one. It’s acoustic version is the album’s closing track.
The album also includes the hit singles, ‘Love Me Like That’, ‘A Real Good Radio’, and the current smash, ‘A Little More Work’.
The real highlight of the album is the forthcoming single from Kira, ‘Songs About You’, which was written by Music Row veteran Hillary Lindsay. It’s a side of Kira we’ve never seen, and one I hope we see a lot more of. Brilliantly written song and a future hit at radio.
Overall, Kira is an artist that has found her voice and her niche in our industry. A solid record from the first chord to the last.
