Johnny Reid, Dean Brody, Chad Brownlee, Jason Blaine, Deric Ruttan and Tim Hicks all took home awards in the country category at last night’s SOCAN Awards in Toronto, Ontario.
The SOCAN Awards honour Canada’s most successful songwriters, composers, lyricists and music publishers.
Reid was honoured for his song “Fire It Up”; Brody for “Canadian Girls”; Brownlee for “Love Me Or Leave Me” and “Smoke In The Rain”; Blaine for “Cool” and Hicks for “Get By”.
