Last night in Nashville, Brad Paisley invited Darius Rucker to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The formal induction will take place on October 16th. The Hootie and the Blowfish frontman made the switch to country back in 2008 and will release his third country album later this year.
Rucker’s hits include ‘Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It’, ‘Alright’, and ‘This’. He also won the coveted New Artist of the Year at the CMAs back in 2009.
