Dwight Yoakam had quite a scare in the air last night! The singer was on his way home from playing a private party in the Northwest Territories when his pilot made a mayday call due to the plane being on fire. Luckily, the pilot made a successful emergency landing at Van Nuys Airport in California. Dwight and the nine other passengers aboard were all safe. It turns out the engine was not on fire – but there was a lot of smoke.
Dwight was performing at a 50th birthday party for a Canadian woman who won a $7.6 million dollar lottery jackpot.
