It’s a pretty amazing feeling to feel like you’re part of something bigger and that you’re making something happen – and Terri Clark is giving her fans the chance to do just that by inviting them to become involved in the making of her brand new studio album.
Terri has launched a campaign through PledgeMusic to create her new album; if you’re unfamiliar with what PledgeMusic is let me fill you in, it’s a direct-to-fan platform that lets fans become partners in the creative process through pledging. It’s pretty similar to other crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and FundAnything only it’s music specific.
So far Terri’s campaign already has 337 pledges and she’s reached 62% of her goal with 46 days left to go. Hi Everybody!
It’s been quite some time since my career started and I released my first studio album. This crazy thing we call the “music industry” has changed A LOT since 1995 – so much so that sometimes, it’s hard to keep up! The great part about these changes is how much technology has opened up the possibilities and broken down a lot of the previous barriers this industry used to have, especially in the way artists can make and release new music. As I’ve been thinking through the best way get my next record into the hands of my favorite HatBrats, I’ve found an exciting solution to really let YOU be a part of the recording process with me (this is where PledgeMusic comes in.)
Together (You, Me, & PledgeMusic), we’re going to revolutionize the way we make my next studio album. Releasing a record this way allows me to have a closer connection with you guys throughout the entire recording process, AND allows me to directly bring you all kinds of unique and personal experiences that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to provide through a traditional record release. After all, YOU are the reason I’m still making music and touring every year, and I can’t think of a better group of people to join forces with to make this new record than the FANS!
