Lady Antebellum excited to be an opening act…for Springsteen

Lady Antebellum is a band that, for a while now, has toured all over the world headlining shows, with other acts opening for them. But now the shoe’s on the other foot and Lady A band members are happy it is.  That’s because the artist they will be opening for is The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. Country music’s superstar trio will open for Bruce in the U.K. at London’s 2012 Hard Rock Calling Music Festival in July.

“It’s Springsteen … there is no entertainer we look up to more than him,” said Lady A member Charles Kelley. “I’m going to be like a little kid at Christmas watching his show. It’s the biggest honor for us to be invited to play this festival … the entire lineup is awesome!”

The concert, scheduled for July 14, will be held at Hyde Park, and will also feature another legendary folk artist, Paul Simon, who will perform his classic Graceland album in its entirety, along with Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
