Lambert & McGraw lead 49th ACM Awards nominees

The nominees for the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards were announced this morning (January 29, 2014) via a digital press conference held through updates on the ACM Facebook and Twitter pages.

Leading this year’s nominations are: Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert with seven nominations each, Keith Urban with six and Lee Brice, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, and Taylor Swift who each received five.

Special congratulations goes out to Canada’s own Deric Ruttan who was nominated in the Song of the Year category for “Mine Would Be You” (sung by Blake Shelton).

The 49th annual ACM awards will air on Sunday, April 6th on CBS from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
