He (May Be) Back!

After a very successful and turbulent career in music, Garth Brooks ‘retired’ in 2001 until he announced a comeback and string of performances in Las Vegas in 2009.  Garth had sold over 200 million albums and had one of the most successful careers in music – but he walked away. During his retirement, Garth (or his label) still released compilation albums and random singles – but we have not heard a full studio album since Scarecrow in 2001. Since returning, he did perform on the Las Vegas strip, released another #1 single; 2007’s ‘More Than A Memory’  (from another compilation album) and has been doing concerts, like in 2012 when he helped celebrate the 100th year of The Calgary Stampede.

Those who are signed up to Garth’s news mailing list received the message:

“The sevens have aligned. It has begun…Thank you for believing…love, g.”

I think we can expect a new album from Garth in 2014. Rumours are also circulating that he’ll have a television special directed by Martin Scorsese. Here’s hoping for a tour.

Are you looking forward to new music, a TV special (and hopefully) a tour from Garth in 2014?
