Miranda Lambert’s new video is a tearjerker

It’s been over a year since Miranda Lambert has released a new video but it was well worth the wait. Wearing a vintage dress and riding coat the singer looks beautiful in the video for her melancholy new single, ‘Over You.’  Miranda co-wrote the song with her husband Blake Shelton, and it’s a personal one for the country star.  ‘Over You’ was inspired by the death of Shelton’s older brother, Richie, who was killed in a car accident in 1991.

“I’ve never cried writing a song, and I don’t know that I ever will again,” said Miranda. “After we wrote it, Blake said he couldn’t record this song for himself or sing it onstage every night but he would be honoured for me to.”

The video was filmed in a Tennessee State Park and is the second single from Lambert’s fourth studio album, Four The Record.
