The bubbly, always entertaining and recent winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Kellie Pickler has released a second single from her upcoming album – and it’s damn catchy.
Kellie recently spoke about the brand new song, ‘Little Bit Gypsy’ saying; “t’s a fun song, and the lyrics are clearly me. My husband wrote it, and he didn’t really know what he was signing up for when we got together.”
She also spoke about her new album saying it will remain close to her roots in real country music. Her previous album, ‘100 Proof’ died quickly on the charts due to her old record label not properly promoting the traditional country album but critics universally praised the album.
Kellie stated: “Had I gone in and made the same old shi-, then Rolling Stone and different music critics wouldn’t have picked it as one of the best albums of 2012. That showed me I made the right call. It was tough, but i’m glad I stood up for myself. I’ve made records where I’m trying to make everybody else happy and say what other people want me to say. That was miserable. If you go in and you’re honest, people will either like you or not. You can’t please them all so you might as well be happy with it yourself. It’s your face on the cover.”
Kellie remains one of my favourite artist. ‘100 Proof’ was a great, unexpected country record from Kellie Pickler. I’ve worked with Kellie on many different occasions and I can tell you she’s warm, friendly, genuine, hilarious and the real deal.
