Deric nominated for 2 CCMA Awards — Today the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced the nominees for the 2012 CCMA Awards. Deric was pleased to be nominated for “Songwriter Of The Year” not once, but twice! Deric’s “Main Street, 1979” garnered him a “Songwriter Of The Year” nomination, as did “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore” (co-written with and recorded by Jason Blaine). Deric will be performing on the The Canadian Country Music Association Awards, broadcast live from Saskatoon, SK on CBC September 9, 2012.
5-10-12 – Deric confirmed as CCMA Award performer — Today the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) announced the first performers confirmed for the annual live award show broadcast, which celebrates the best in Canadian country music. Deric, along with Dean Brody, Miranda Lambert, and the Pistol Annies, are the first four artists confirmed to perform on the show. The Canadian Country Music Association Awards will be broadcast live from Saskatoon, SK on CBC September 9, 2012.
