Q: Can you tell us a bit about your new Christmas single “All Wrapped Up In Christmas”?
A: We are pretty obsessed with Christmas. We get carried away for sure… spend and eat way too much. We are always writing and recording Christmas songs and this one felt like a happy twist to throw out there.
Q: How did the song come to be?
A: MaryLynne wrote the song one day and sent me the worktape to me through a text message. I loved the song and we were in the studio by the end of that week recording it.
Q: What’s your favourite lyric or phrase from “All Wrapped Up In Christmas”?
A: My favourite is the line about the rudolph sweater for sure! – Brad
Q: Congratulations on your recent Opry debut, what was it like?
A: It was incredible. I lost my breath and my legs felt numb. I got choked up and looked out in the crowd and saw people crying and stuff… I loved it, but it made me cry more. When they stood up, I thought ‘either they are crying and standing up because they hate us and are leaving, or this is a really good thing!!!’
Q: You’ve got a new album coming out next year, is there anything you can share with us about it yet?
A: We are so excited about this record. We have been able to pick some old songs that we wrote years ago and new stuff that we have been writing lately. I feel that it has a little of everything but hopefully meshes together still.
