Tenille Arts quickly became one of our favourite new female artists this year. From her powerful vocals to her incredible songs, we just can’t get enough! Tenille released her debut single ‘What He’s Into’ to radio on January 23rd, along with her debut music video. Watch the video and you’ll see why we love her so much!
TC: Did you write your new single, ‘What He’s Into’?
Tenille Arts: I wrote ‘What He’s Into’ with Mark Narmore. I was in Nashville on a writing trip a couple of years ago, and this was my first time writing with Mark! We instantly connected and it was a really fun, easy writing experience!
TC: Describe your most memorable date.
Tenille Arts: My most memorable date I’ve ever been on was when I was 15 years old. We went to the nicest local restaurant we could find and my brother’s girlfriend worked there and was our waitress! It was such a typical small town date and I loved it. We are actually still together now!
TC: What is your favourite moment of your career so far?
Tenille Arts: My favourite moment of my career so far would be the day that I released my debut EP. I stayed up past midnight to see it show up on iTunes for the first time, and I don’t think I got any sleep because when I looked at the chart it was #1 on the Canadian Top Country Albums chart!! It just really showed me how much support I have from the fans and I was so excited to finally be able to share what I had been working on for so long!
TC: Your dreams would come true if…
Tenille Arts: My dreams would come true if I went on a worldwide headlining tour!! I know this seems like a crazy, big dream, but I would love for my music to have that big of an impact on people’s lives. Performing and meeting people are my favourite things to do!
TC: What is your favourite thing about being an artist?
Tenille Arts: My favourite thing about being an artist is that I get to be creative and make music every day. I love to write songs about what I’m going through or different experiences that I’ve had in hopes that the fans will connect to it and feel what I was feeling when I was writing the song. I want to make music that people can party to, cry to and be inspired by. :)
