Fans that go to see concerts at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in New York don’t exactly have a track record for good behavior, but this weekend a whopping 59 fans received tickets for underage possession of alcohol and intent to consume at a Rascal Flatts show. Three other fans were stopped by police, two were charged with trespassing (re-entering the concert venue after being kicked out) and one for possession of marijuana. That makes a total of 62 people charged.
Coincidentally, last year when Rascal Flatts played Darien Lakes, a fan was arrested for slashing another fan in the face but clearly the drama continues this year much to Gary, Joe Don and Jay’s dismay. Last June when Brad Paisley performed, 50 people were arrested during his show. Clearly this venue attracts a troublesome crowd but that’s what can happen when you mix booze, music, and a massive crowd of people together.
Later this summer, Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Brad Paisley (yet again) will be hitting the stage at Darien Lake.
