Dwight Yoakam is back after seven long years with a new studio album titled 3 Pears that will be hitting stores on September 18.
The week after the album’s release, Yoakam will be honored by the Academy of Country Music with the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award at the 6th Annual ACM Honors event. This award honours individuals who are pioneers in the country music genre and now Yoakam will be added to the ranks. The list already includes legends such as Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Sr. and Hank Williams Jr.
