For over 2 decades, Country Thunder has been taking place in Florence, Arizona as well as Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, and just last week the producers of the country music festival announced it’s arrival in Canada via the Calgary Sun.
“Country Thunder wanted to be in Canada, and Calgary was the first choice – it’s one of the great country music cities of the world,” said Gerry Krochak, general manager of the festival.
“This will be the biggest outdoor production Calgarians will see next summer.”
They may have forgotten about the Calgary Stampede, which is in fact and will continue to be the biggest outdoor production in Calgary (and has also been coined the “Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth”), but we like their optimism and are looking forward to the Thunder.
