Dallas Smith #1 at radio for 4 weeks, Dean Brody tops sales chart

Checking out the latest Top Country Charts it looks like Dallas Smith has a bona fide smash hit on his hands. For the fourth week in a row the former lead singer of rock band Default, has watched his first country effort, ‘Somebody Somewhere,’ top the radio airplay chart, meaning his song has been played more often on Canadian country radio stations over the past month than any other song by a Canadian country artist. Also, for the second week in a row ‘Somebody Somewhere’ is the #1 video on the CMT Canada video chart. Here’s the song/video everybody is lovin.’

 

 

Dallas is not the only Canadian country artist having huge success with a new song.  Country star Dean Brody has yet another big hit on his hands with his new single, ‘Canadian Girls.’  The song is #1 on our Singles Sales chart for Canadian artists and #1 on our Singles Sales chart for all country artists, taking over from Toby Keith’s ‘Red Solo Cup.’  The song also just scored the Hot Shot Debut (entering the chart at #36) on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, a chart that includes songs from all genres.
