Dierks Bentley and his family had quite the scare last night. His beloved dog Jake took off last night in the middle of a booming Tennessee thunderstorm, which also had tornado warnings issued for the surrounding area. Dierks tweeted, “Jake has been missing for 5 hours now. Jumped a fence during the thunderstorms. Praying someone found him… a cold wet white dog. red collar.”
Fans and industry alike spent the night looking for Jake all around the Nashville area. Dierks’ buddy Jake Owen also sent a message out to his social media outlets saying, “Anybody in the Green Hills Nashville area please be on the lookout for my buddy @DierksBentley dog named Jake.”
Early this morning after a long night of searching, Jake was found by a Nashville woman and returned home. Much relief to Dierks to tweeted, “Omg. My wife just told me someone found Jake on facebook and is bringing him to our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the happiest days of my life. Grown men don’t cry…yeah right. Thank you to everyone on facebook and twitter that spread the word.”
The pooch is famous among Dierks fans and has appeared in several of Dierks’ music videos including this one.
