Gord Bamford is one of the biggest names in Canadian country music. With a career spanning over 20 years, Gord remains at the top of many country music fan’s playlists. 2018 promises to be another great year for the singer as he embarks on a nation-wide tour with the release of his latest album “Neon Smoke”.
Originally from Australia, Gord Bamford moved to Canada with his family at the age of five. He was encouraged by his mother to pursue a career in music with his first success coming in 1995 when he won the Nornet Radio Search for the Stars Talent competition. This set the stage for his debut album release called “God’s Green Earth” in 2000, which was only the beginning to an incredibly successful career.
With hits ranging from “Blame It On That Red Dress” to “When Your Lips Are So Close”, Gord Bamford has consistently released great music for country fans from all walks of life. He has released five studio albums with nine of his songs charting on the Canadian Hot 100.
In December, Bamford was presented with multiple plaques, celebrating his incredible success. “Is It Friday Yet”, “Country Junkie”, “Drinking Buddy” and “Don’t Let Her Be Gone” are all officially certified gold. In addition, he received a certified platinum plaque for “When Your Lips Are So Close”!

Gord Bamford is now set to release his sixth album entitled “Neon Smoke” on January 19th. The album will have 15 tracks including the previously released duet with Jim Cuddy, “Ain’t It Grand”. The title track, “Neon Smoke” is his latest single, recently released to country radio.
A brand new album brings a cross-Canada tour for Gord Bamford and his band where they will play 29 shows from coast to coast. The Neon Smoke Tour kicks off on January 24th in Brampton, Ontario and will conclude in Kelowna, BC on March 2nd.
