No. 4: Pre-seeding weed control is very important to keep your field clean! Used to be done by cultivating. Now on most conventional farms, it’s done by spraying.
No. 5: Seed is often pre-treated to help combat disease that can affect the seed in the ground and pests.

No. 6: TRUE farmers run blue and yellow machinery. ;)
No. 7: Year to year, proper crop rotations (different kinds of crops ie: pulse, grain, oilseed etc) play a vital role in soil as well as crop health. (You don’t typically grow the same crop on the same land year after year).

No. 8: On conventional Farms, Fertilizers are used to supplement deficiencies in the soil to improve crop health and increase yield. They can be applied prior to seeding, during seeding or sometimes even after seeding (top dressing).
No. 9: If you’re tired and need a nap, poke a hole in a hydraulic hose… 😳
No. 10: To avoid getting stuck, don’t drive through water, or dark patches of land, especially with a full drill! Plants don’t grow well when submerged in H2O. 😊
Wishing everyone out there a safe and productive farming season! – The Hunter Brothers
If you missed it, The Hunter Brothers were on their final day of seeding when Dusty Hunter’s tractor got stuck. In true Hunter Brothers’ fashion, they decided to record a Facebook Live while singing a parody of ‘Ring of Fire’, changing the lyrics to reflect their current situation
The video is a ‘sequel’ to their viral Facebook Live from November 2016 when their combine got stuck. Watch the original video below.
