Is Lambert the ‘fastest girl in town’?

Article By Allie K. Lamb

It is becoming increasingly challenging to capture and retain an audience’s attention.  We struggle to sit through an entire four-minute music video now-a-days, but Sony seems to have caught on, and is moving to distinguish its audio-visual material by making it interactive. Miranda Lambert fans, you may now engage.

Sony Music Nashville’s Digital Marketing and Strategy specialist Copeland Isaacson has created a multi-platform digital marketing experience for Miranda’s single “Fastest Girl in Town.”  This is the third single off her latest album, Four the Record, released in November 2011.  The music video, resembling an action movie chase scene, boasts top-notch interactive technology from Interlude that allows viewers to choose their own camera angle.  Users can also “find” bonus content by clicking on the movie poster every time it appears in the video.  Halo Media’s Facebook Connect technology let’s fans use their own Facebook photos to create a Fastest Girl in Town movie poster.  Miranda just released a free mobile app created by Mobile Roadie with fan content including exclusive news, a tour schedule, photocards, and music videos.  The app uses Sonic Notify’s technology, which gives you access to exclusive content on your mobile device while watching the music video.

Join the trend by uploading your own photos to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #fastestgirlintown.  A weekly favorite will be selected and exhibited on the art wall on Lambert’s official website.
