Johnny Reid was great on Top Chef

Awesome to see one of my favourite performers, Johnny Reid, on one of my favourite shows—Top Chef Canada!

Johnny brought his usual charm and of course his dreeeeeamy accent to the show as well as his tastebuds.  Nine contestants were remaining… and their task was to put a new twist on an old classic, comfort food.  The chefs made their versions of everything from chicken pot pie (Johnny didn’t like it because it wasn’t warm) to a chicken noodle soup made into terrine (“one of the best bowls of chicken noodle soup I’ve ever eaten”).  For the most part, Johnny was quite complimentary and seemed to agree with the other judges.

Johnny’s harshest criticism was for Curtis’s tuna casserole, “My father said if I have nothing good to say, don’t say anything…. But it’s a wee bit schizophrenic.”  The other judges agreed, and as a result Curtis was asked to pack his knives and go…

Loved Johnny’s input on the show… but seriously Top Chef ???  A 2-second clip of Johnny singing???  What a waste!!  Would have liked to have seen a little more of Johnny’s talent!!

And I would have like to have eaten some of that food….
