Fresh off their top-ten hit “Crazy About You” and three collective CCMA Award nominations, The Road Hammers are back with their next single “Your Love is the Drug”. The single, from their album The Squeeze, goes to Canadian country radio today. To celebrate “Your Love Is The Drug” going to radio, the band surprised fans by releasing a brand new music video! In the video, the band dreams of being a metal band and dresses appropriately, creating a hilarious video in true Road Hammers fashion.

“Your Love is the Drug” is a down-home, up-tempo track with southern flare. The song was written by band members Jason McCoy and Chris Byrne, as well as renowned producer Gavin Brown. As the first song on The Squeeze it effortlessly gets the party started with catchy lyrics and nostalgia-driven melodies. “Your Love is the Drug” takes listeners back with its classic country style and true Road Hammers sound.

““Your Love is the Drug” was a lot of fun to bring to life,” says The Road Hammers front man Jason McCoy. “We all have that one person we can’t quit. This song lets us have a little fun reminiscing about the strong pull of love, with the added layer of good ol’ foot stomping music to get the crowd moving and singing along.”

The Road Hammers are enjoying the fruits of their labour in 2017. The group was recently nominated for a CCMA Award for Group of the Year. Bassist Chris Byrne is also nominated for Bass Player of the Year and Clayton Bellamy has been nominated for Songwriter of the Year (with Dan Davidson).

The highest selling Canadian country band in history, The Road Hammers released The Squeeze in spring 2017. The album a compilation of tracks that epitomizes what the band has become known for – a truly synergistic blend of classic rock meets country. Co-produced by Gavin Brown (Metric, Tragically Hip and Barenaked Ladies), Scott Baggett (Alison Krauss, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt), Jason McCoy, and David Kalmusky, The Squeeze brings forward a new personal side of The Road Hammers.
