It sure looks like superstar Tim McGraw has another successful album in his catalogue. To date the singer has sold more than 40 million albums. His new one, Emotional Traffic, is at the top of the TC International Chart for Album Sales and is the #1 selling country album at the iTunes store. The album is his last for Curb Records and his relationship with the label did not end well. Things are gonna get ugly.
In May of 2011 Curb filed a breach-of-contract suit against McGraw. The label alleged that the singer recorded tracks for Emotional Traffic too early prior to its delivery to the label. A number of days later McGraw filed a counter suit against Curb, seeking advance payment and recording-fund reimbursement, unspecified damages, and a trial by jury. The trial is expected to get underway in July. McGraw began recording for Curb way back in 1990.
Emotional Traffic Tour dates are posted on Tim McGraw’s website. Here’s a look behind the scenes of rehearsals for the Emotional Traffic Tour.
And singer/songwriter Dallas Smith, new to the country game, is at the top of two Top Country charts for the 2nd week in a row. His song, ‘Somebody Somewhere,’ is a #1 smash on both the Singles – Airplay chart and the Singles – Sales chart.
