The Christmas season is upon us, and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been itching to get your Christmas decorations put up since November 1. But alas, you wait, because the naysayers and Grinches will breathe down your neck and issue you a two-day lecture on the pitfalls of early Christmas spirit, if you so much as whisper a note of Jingle Bell Rock under your breath.

But who cares what they think?! Christmas comes around once a year, and I know I plan on making that warm, fuzzy feeling last as long as I possibly can before the new year hits, the trees begin to brown, and the decorations go back into their boxes for another 11 months.

Since you’re probably gearing up for Christmas decorating, we thought it would be helpful to share with our fellow country music lovers, some of our favourite country music Christmas decorations this holiday season. After all, what country fan wants a boring ol’ regular tree when they can have one decked out in cowboy boots, guitars, and tributes to their favourite country artists?

Take a look at the 6 Christmas tree decorations below and you’ll be trading in your snowflakes and bulbs in no time.

These little trees aren’t for your Christmas tree specifically, but you could turn them into your own DIY ornaments. Just add a little string on top, and you’re ready to adorn your tree with these beautiful decorations. To make it personalized and special, use sheet music from your favourite country music song. These would make a great, sentimental gift for a loved one, and fellow country music fan.

What more can be said about this one. Johnny Cash, burned, burned, burned, into a ring of wood, is the perfect addition to any country Christmas tree. You don’t even have to be a hardcore Cash fan to appreciate this legendary decoration. Bonus Tip: Opt for no hole in the top, and use it as a festive coaster.

Last, but certainly not least, the biggest country staple – the cowboy boot. Worn by cowboys, rodeo clowns and just about every country singer out there, these little boots are the cherry on top of a really good sundae. Featuring a dash of sparkles, to winterize the boots and give them that bit of Christmas magic, this decoration is the final step in creating the perfect country Christmas tree.

And now that you’re done all the hard work that decorating entails, feel free to kick off your own boots, and let your hair down.
