It has been an incredible couple of weeks for Canadian singer/songwriter Jessica Mitchell. It all started when she performed a brand new song that she had been working on at the CMAO Awards. It resulted in the only standing ovation of the night and country music stations clamouring to add the track after she had previously been told that she is ‘not a radio artist’. Jessica was listening in to Country 104 when they added ‘Workin’ On Whiskey’ and filmed her reaction. Within days the video went viral as Jessica captured the hearts of thousands of country fans.
We had the chance to see Jessica perform her new single live at the Horseshoe Tavern on Monday night for the final date of her tour opening for Kiefer Sutherland. To say we were blown away would be an understatement. She has been referred to many times as ‘Country’s Adele’ and we think it suits her perfectly. We are so excited to see what the rest of 2016 brings for Jessica Mitchell. For now, we will continue to stream ‘Workin’ On Whiskey’ over and over again:
