What is your favourite songwriting experience so far?
We have really begun to love writing as a group! We have a lot of fun and feel very free to be creative and forthcoming with our ideas because we know we’re on each other’s team. We have such different strengths and we really love how they compliment each other.
Which CCMA Nominated artists would you love to write with?
Deric Ruttan and Carolyn Dawn Johnson!
Which artists (from anywhere) do you look up to the most?
We love so many artists from the Canadian country music family! There are groups like High Valley that have stuck it out and never gave up, while always delivering amazing material and treat their fans like gold. Newer artists like Jessica Mitchell remind us that is all about the music and the power of an incredible song.
What has brought you here to this moment, becoming a discovery artist?
The most important things that we believe brought us here are patience and good old fashioned stubbornness. We’ve been applying for years and just kept taking rejection as an opportunity to grow and improve. We are so so grateful that we are Discovery Artists!
How did it feel when you found out?
Cadence got the phone call and managed to scream, cry and laugh with joy simultaneously. We were really just overjoyed and overwhelmed.
What can we expect from you over the next year?
You can expect our sophomore album in early 2017 and some extremely fun high energy shows!
