These days we are seeing a whole other side to Carrie Underwood. Last year at this time, several months before her album Blown Away was out, she was telling us it was “darker” than her previous projects. She was right on the money. ‘Two Black Cadillacs’ tells the story of a wife and mistress who conspire to bring down the man doing them both wrong. It brings a whole new meaning to ‘Before He Cheats’.
If the lyrics of this song never hit you before, watch this video. You will soon understand. I’m not sure a song quite like this has ever come out of Nashville. Underwood also co-wrote this tune, which is pretty impressive.
