Exclusive Video Premiere: Blackie Jackett Jr. – “Dorothy”

Blackie Jackett Jr. is the brainchild of James Black and Rick Jackett. The two guitarists from the band Finger Eleven conceived the concept one night in the back of a tour bus. They then heard Sandra Dee singing karaoke at their local bar and she quickly became the female power behind their band. Add in the guitar chops of Jimmy Reid and the band transformed from a hazy idea into the unique blend of country-rock you hear today.

Showcasing a softer, more mellow side of the band, Dorothy is the perfect track heading into the cozy nights that fall brings and is already gaining traction on country radio across Canada. Since their on-stage debut at SiriusXM House during Canadian Music Week, Blackie Jackett Jr. have continued to entice and charm crowds across Canada with their own brand of country music and high-octane live shows throughout festival season.

Blackie Jackett Jr. are premiering their newest music video for their laid-back song Dorothy exclusively here at Top Country. The video was shot during their performance at Toronto’s Youtube Space. It has a very simple and gritty aesthetic that goes perfectly with what Blackie Jackett Jr. is all about.

Check out our exclusive first look at Blackie Jackett Jr.’s Dorothy and make sure you stay tuned to to Top Country for everything on this up-and-coming band!
