Hailing from Sudbury, Ontario where nickel ore was first discovered, it’s only fitting that Andrew Hyatt worked at a nickel mine as an ironworker before he launched into a professional music career.  Telling stories “like it is”, and getting the opportunity to perform an opening set for a Dean Brody concert, gained Andrew the attention from Toronto-based Wax Records, resulting in a recording deal. Andrew released his first studio EP with Wax, “Never Back Down”, in September of 2015 featuring acclaimed producers and the 2015 summer single release “Livin’ The Dream”, a song about going after your dreams. 

What inspired ‘Livin’ The Dream’?

Livin the dream was inspired by my time working as an iron worker and going to work everyday thinking about music and dreaming of the opportunity to do what I truly love! Growing up in a smaller town people would often dismiss the idea of chasing music over a career in a trade. I’ve been fortunate to have a group of people believe in me and give me the chance to chase the dream!

I’d love to work with any of the following (because I couldn’t pick one):
Chris Stapleton
Jon foreman
Noah Gunderson 

What is your guilty pleasure? 

 I think sleeping in. I know that sounds lame but nothing beats someone calling you at noon and asking “did I wake you up” and denying it! 

Is there an unexpected artist that you “fan girl/fan boy” over?

I’d love to meet Chris Stapleton. I’ve been a fan of that dude for a long time. I’ve got serious beard envy.

What does 2016 look like for you? What can we expect? 

I truly believe 2016 is going to be a land mark year. We’ve got new music coming out and a ton of summer dates in the works. I’m currently working on a couple of extras for the fans who have been so supportive as we got the ball rolling!
