Pick of the Week: Bentley’s “Bourbon”

DierksBentley

Dierks Bentley has returned with new music and it’s unlike anything he’s done before. Joining Dierks on this one is Kacey Musgraves, emoting a hauntingly beautiful harmony.

“I’ve never heard anything like ‘Bourbon’ before,” Bentley told Rolling Stone. “I really love the angst of it.  I’ve been there before where you can’t drink your way through a heartache or a broken heart. There’s such an aggressive lonesomeness in this song.”

There ain’t enough
Bourbon in Kentucky
For me to forget you
No there ain’t enough
Bottles I could drink
To make ’em feel as empty as I do

The song is the first single off his highly anticipated new album Riser, due in stores this fall.

You can preview the song in a recent episode of DBTV below.
