The Road Hammers show their softer side with their new music video for “All Your Favorite Bands”. Not only is this a refreshingly different sound for The Road Hammers, but having Clayton Bellamy on lead vocals, makes this song quite unique for the band. Be the first to watch the new video, filmed at Noble Street Studios in Toronto, ON.
“All Your Favorite Bands” is a cover originally recorded by American band Dawes in 2015. The Road Hammers version of the song features Clayton Bellamy on lead vocals and was recorded in one take. As the only ballad from The Squeeze, “All Your Favorite Bands” gives fans a chance to see a more intimate side of The Road Hammers. The song also showcases the band’s strong harmonies and rock-driven guitar sounds.
“We perform “All your Favorite Bands” in our live show and when we saw the reaction of the crowd, we knew our cover needed to be on the album,” says Clayton Bellamy, guitarist and singer. “Whether you’re a musician or a music fan, this song immediately connects with you on an emotional level. It quickly became one of our favourites.”
The Road Hammers won the 2017 CCMA Award for Group of the Year this past September in Saskatoon. More recently, the band was nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the Alberta Country Music Association Awards. Their previous singles from The Squeeze have been Canadian country radio hits, with “Crazy About You” reaching top ten and “Your Love is the Drug” reaching top 30.
The highest selling Canadian country band in history, The Road Hammers released The Squeeze in spring 2017. The album is a compilation of tracks that epitomizes what the band has become known for – a truly synergistic blend of classic rock meets country. Co-produced by Gavin Brown (Metric, Tragically Hip and Barenaked Ladies), Scott Baggett (Alison Krauss, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt), Jason McCoy, and David Kalmusky, The Squeeze brings forward a new personal side of The Road Hammers.
