Q: Tell us a bit about your new single “That Was Before”.

A: I was very excited to have the opportunity to record this song, especially because it was written by Aaron Goodvin and it’s a great summer song that can relate to a lot of people.

Q: Congratulations on your new album, what was the process of creating it like?

A: The whole process was very exciting. I am very honoured to have been able to work with Aaron Goodvin and Bart Butler at County Q studios in Nashville. I had an amazing time writing with these two guys and looking at song choices for our album. At the end of the day, I’m very honoured and happy with our finished product.

Q: What can fans expect from this album?

A: Fans can expect a wide variety of different songs on this album and I think there’s something for everyone. There’s no downers, it’s all about real life things that happen.

Q: What’s a particular line or lyric from this album that you love?

A: “You’re the only woman who can do that for me” as it relates to my fiancée, because I wouldn’t be where I am today without her.

Q: What else have you got coming up this summer and where can fans catch you playing?

A: Summer’s looking busy with a few dates at The CNE in Toronto, Cavendish Beach Music Festival and Maritime Countryfest After Party. A complete list can be found on my website at www.tristanhorncastle.ca.
